The benefits of using essential oils in your home

Essential oils are a multipurpose, natural option for cleaning your home and making it smell great. This natural alternative to harsher chemicals and cleaners is highly effective and easy to use, with many amazing benefits.

Here are three essential oils that are excellent to use in your home:

Lemon

You'll want to use lemon for cleaning, as it is a natural disinfectant and can be used in place of bleach and alcohol. Its cleansing and purification properties make it effective for everything from getting dishes and surfaces sparkling clean to helping eliminate nasty odours. Add a few drops of lemon oil to water in a spray bottle to use as a room spray. As an added bonus, it's antiviral and antibacterial as well!

Tea Tree

Tea tree essential oil is a must-have in any home. It is purifying and a germ destroyer, making it perfect to use when cleaning your home. It is also the perfect solution for killing mould in places like the shower or tub. Mix one teaspoon of tea tree oil and one cup of water in a spray bottle. Spritz the affected areas and let dry. Do not wipe off. Easy peasy!

Wild Orange

Wild Orange is antibacterial and smells so good in the home too! Diffusing it not only makes your house smell amazing, but also kills bacteria at the same time. It's also great against grease. Use as a natural floor cleaner, and make into a kitchen spray.

These oils can be added to your laundry routine, and incorporated into your daily kitchen and bathroom cleaning. Your house will be clean and smell great — all done naturally!
